Services

  • Joint manipulation (aka an adjustment) is the most common type of chiropractic care. It primarily consists of high-velocity, low-amplitude movements to a joint to restore proper range of motion and reduce pain in the area. This can produce an audible cavitation (or “pop” sound). This is just a release of gas in the joint and is not actually necessary to occur for a successful adjustment. Regular adjustments and healthy routine movement help promote better joint health and less pain long-term.

  • Muscles are a key component and often overlooked in chiropractic care. Without proper functionality of our muscles, the joints will not move correctly. Getting an overused muscle to relax or strengthening muscles to provide more joint support are key to a healthier life.

  • Our bodies are amazing at adapting to their environment, so when we hold them in positions that add constant stress to specific areas they adapt. This adaptation is most commonly a recipe for poor posture and pain. During your appointments we will discuss how to improve your daily routines to minimize or eliminate these poor habits. This will allow your body to function with less pain and soreness. Most people sit all day for work, but some are incredibly active. No matter your occupation or hobbies, we will customize our treatment approach to best fit your lifestyle.

  • Most people aren’t quite as flexible as they were when they were a child. This is due to multiple reasons: tight muscles, stiff joints, and a sedentary lifestyle. We don’t move like we did when we were little, so as we age and stop using most joints to their full range of motion, they get stiff. Surrounding muscles get tight and our lifestyles don’t support the proper movement to maintain our childhood flexibility. Our approach to flexibility involves building habits to promote better mobility in your joints, less tightness in your muscles, and routines that can help maintain these long term.
